Introduction to the Organisational Culture Fit Questionnaire
The Organisational Culture Fit Questionnaire is designed to help candidates understand the right types of culture for them. The Organisational Culture Fit Questionnaire is based on the work of Marston who defined a personality theory which is now often called DISC. This questionnaire will provide you with a general personality description and, as importantly, a description of the culture(s) that are most suitable for you. the DISC profile has 4 top level personality types, and these can be seen in the diagram below. We have then added 4 opposing pole clusters to ensure a more granulated view.
Why Is Culture Fit Important?
Cultural fit can be defined as the likelihood that a job candidate will be able to conform and adapt to the core values, collective behaviours and ways of working that make up an organisation.
The employment deal is starting to change as we come out of recession. No longer are candidates begging for jobs, especially if they have a great track-record, or their skills are scarce. It has become more of a partnership with employees changing roles and businesses more frequently, and employers increasingly restructuring and relaxing contractual ties. People increasingly want to work in an environment where they feel comfortable, and one which matches their style and ways of working. We all want to be happy at work, right? The ‘Organisational Culture Culture Fit Questionnaire’ aims to provide you with a description of the types of culture you are naturally most comfortable with. It will also provide you with some fundamental indicators of your personality. The descriptions of the cultures that you would be most compatible with are provided here. The results can be applied to understanding what roles may be best for you as well helping to answer some fundamental interview questions.
